‘How to’ guide

Hi there! Welcome to myTOT – thank you for downloading the app.

Creating an account

Simply create an account by joining with Google, Facebook, Apple ID or email.

Once you have created an account we ask for a little more information so we can tailor the news feed to fit your needs. The more info, the more likely we are to show you things you will love.

Payments can be made via Apple Pay, Google Pay or by card. When listing an item we ask you to create or connect your Stripe account, so the money can go straight into your bank account.

Once an item is sold, the money will go straight to your account and myTOT will take 12.5% for the commission.

Setting up your profile

Your profile is your own little shop. Make sure you add a profile photo and a bio to tell viewers what to expect on your page.

How to change or add a profile picture
Make sure you are on your profile. Click the top left dotted circle (or photo if you already have a profile picture). It should say update profile photo and here you can select an image or take a photo.

How to add a bio
Make sure you are on your profile. Click the ‘settings’ icon in the top right of your profile screen, then click edit profile. Here you can add a bio and change your display name.

How to sell an item

Step 1

To sell an item: Click on the icon with the plus symbol and circle around it, on the menu bar at the bottom of the screen. You will be prompted to create or connect your Stripe account (this is so the money will go straight into your account when an item is sold). Once you have completed this step you are ready to sell your goodies and make a bit of cash!

To add images: Click on the ‘add photo’ square. ‘Add photo’ option will appear. Click ‘take a photo’ or add photo.

Make sure the photos are clear and true to what you are selling. The better quality and more photos the more likely they are to sell.

Step 2

Describe your item: Add a clear, detailed description of the item you are selling.

Step 3

Select the age range that your product(s) suitably fits.

Step 4

Item details: Fill out as many of these sections as possible, as this will help sell your item quicker. Please include category, quantity (the number of items for sale), price and shipping.

Once you are happy with your listing hit the ‘list item’ button and your item is now up for sale! You will see this item in your shop (profile).

Selling on myTOT

Once you have listed an item for sale, it will be shown on your shop (profile).

When someone purchases one of your items you will receive payment straight into your account from the buyer.

The ‘receipt’ icon on your profile (located top right) is where your order history is kept. You can see what orders you have bought or sold here and find out buyers information eg. address and name.

You will receive a confirmation email of the item(s) which has been purchased, containing the buyer’s information. Please post the item purchased within seven days of receiving the sale. We recommend you send the item recorded delivery so if there are any issues you have proof the item was posted.

As a seller, you can set your own shipping fees. We recommend if a buyer purchases multiple items from yourself you consider a discount or wave the shipping fees.

As a seller on myTOT you have myTOT buyer protection. Please visit the FAQ’s page to read more about these terms and conditions.

myTOT take a transaction fee of 12.5%. This covers the fee of Stripe payments and will automatically be taken of each listing sold. You do not need to do anything.

Buying on myTOT

When buying on myTOT you simply add items to the bag. This will create your checkout bags (items from different sellers will be in a different ‘bag’). Your bag icon is always accessible in the menu bar along the bottom of the screen.

There are no buying fees for purchasing something on myTOT.

Please check with the sellers what their return policy is before purchasing, as each individual may have different policies.

When you purchase an item you will receive a confirmation email. You can also see your order history from your profile screen by clicking the ‘orders’ icon (top right).

The seller should send your parcel tracked to the address you have entered on your profile within the next seven days.

Payment on myTOT

When checking out and making a payment on myTOT you have a few options on how you want to pay. You can pay with Google Pay, Apple Pay or pay with a card.

All of your payment details are secure via Stripe.
